Qualifications

Mark Jones principle of Focus Driving Tuition is a highly qualified driving instructor with a wealth of experience in teaching car drivers from beginners to advanced Standard. Mark Jones is a Driving Standards Agency approved driving instructor, a member of the DIA (driving instructors association), IAM (institute of Advanced Motorists), and RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents). Mark has received the prestigious RoSPA Gold award for advanced driving, as well as the Cardington special driving test award for approved driving instructors – which was taken at the DSA’s training and development centre. Mark has also been awarded the IAM advanced driving test certificate.

Quality Individualised Tuition

Focus driving tuition provides all its pupils with individualised lessons which cover every element needed to pass the practical driving test first time: these elements include controls, moving away safely and under control, emergency stop, reverse left, turn in the road, reverse parking, use of mirrors, signals, response to signs, use of speed, following distance, junctions, judgement, positioning, clearance, pedestrian crossings, awareness and planning.

Focus driving Tuition also provide theory test help using the latest technology – including an in-car laptop which is used for hazard perception training, and theory disks which pupils can take home to practice. Also provided are random selections of practice theory papers, which simulate real test papers and aim to fully prepare the learner driver for this element of their test.

The duration of the lessons are a full hour which will consist of an introduction to driving or a re-cap from previous lessons, followed by an explanation of the lessons contents, this is then transferred from theory into practical terms i.e. practical driving. The lesson will end with a discussion of the standard achieved in the practical element of the lesson.
